  • 285 miles WLTP range with dual-motor all-wheel drive

Weaknesses

  • AWD adds cost and reduces range versus the FWD 87kWh Evolve

Nissan Ariya 87kWh e-4ORCE Evolve FAQs

What is the towing capacity of the Ariya 87kWh e-4ORCE?

The e-4ORCE is rated to tow 1,500kg braked, which covers a typical camping trailer or small boat. The FWD Ariya variants are limited to 750kg. Towing at capacity will reduce range noticeably from the 285-mile WLTP figure.

How does the e-4ORCE AWD system work?

The e-4ORCE system uses two electric motors, one per axle, with torque distributed independently to each wheel. Nissan also applies braking force per wheel to reduce body roll in corners, similar in principle to its GT-R's ATTESA system.

Does the Ariya e-4ORCE have faster charging than the FWD model?

No. Both 87kWh Ariya variants share the same 130kW DC maximum and 22kW AC capability. The e-4ORCE's additional weight means the 10–80% DC charge time is the same 45 minutes as the FWD model.

How does the e-4ORCE Evolve compare with the Kia EV9 for family use?

The Ariya seats five and has a 466-litre boot. The EV9 seats seven and has a much larger body, making it better for families needing the third row. The Ariya is more compact and easier to park, but cannot match the EV9 for seating capacity.
