Pros & cons

Strengths

  • Full V2H and V2G capability via CHAdeMO port
  • Fully loaded trim: leather, ProPilot Park, Bose, head-up display
  • 100kW DC rapid charging with 40-minute 10–80% time

Nissan Leaf e+ Tekna FAQs

What extras does the Tekna add over the N-Connecta?

The Tekna adds leather upholstery, ProPilot Park (automated parking), a head-up display, and a premium Bose sound system upgrade. It shares all powertrain and charging hardware with the N-Connecta.

Is the Leaf e+ Tekna worth buying over a Hyundai Ioniq 5 or Kia EV6?

Only if V2H or V2G is your priority and you have a compatible CHAdeMO bidirectional charger at home. For everyday charging flexibility, the Ioniq 5 and EV6 offer CCS rapid charging at a broader range of locations.

How does V2G work on the Leaf e+ Tekna?

V2G exports electricity from the car's battery back to the grid via a compatible bidirectional CHAdeMO charger such as the Wallbox Quasar 2. On Octopus or similar time-of-use tariffs, this can generate credit when grid demand is high.

Does the Leaf e+ Tekna have a heat pump?

No. The Leaf e+ does not include a heat pump on any trim, which affects cold-weather efficiency more than competitors that do, such as the Ioniq 5 and EV6.
