How the Nissan Leaf e+ N-Connecta compares to similar EVs on battery, range, home charging speed and V2X capability.
Leaf e+ N-Connecta
Nissan CHAdeMO
A more comfortable entry into Leaf e+ bidirectional ownership, but the CHAdeMO constraint is the same across all trims.
Leaf e+ Acenta
Nissan CHAdeMO
Same battery and bidirectional hardware, £2,000 less if you can forego Bose and heated rear seats
Leaf e+ Tekna
Nissan CHAdeMO
Top trim adds ProPilot Park, leather, and a larger display for around £1,500 more
IONIQ 5 Standard Range RWD
Hyundai CCS
CCS port and V2L at a broadly similar price; no V2H but far wider rapid-charge network access
The N-Connecta gains heated rear seats, a Bose premium audio system, a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and ProPilot driver assistance. It costs approximately £2,000 more than the Acenta but shares the same 59kWh battery and charging hardware.
It can, but only at chargers with a CHAdeMO connector. Most motorway rapid chargers in the UK are CCS only, so checking charger availability in advance is essential. Apps such as Zap-Map let you filter by connector type.
Yes, via CHAdeMO. A compatible bidirectional charger such as the Wallbox Quasar 2 is required. The system can export up to 10kW back to your home, enough to cover most household loads.
WLTP range is 239 miles. Real-world range at motorway speeds is typically 150–170 miles depending on temperature and load. The 59kWh battery and 4.05 miles/kWh efficiency figure are shared with the Acenta and Tekna.
