Kia EV9 Earth AWD FAQs

Does the EV9 Earth AWD have a proper third row of seats?

Yes. The Earth AWD is a seven-seat model with a usable third row. The seats fold flat into the floor when not in use. Third-row space is adequate for children; adults on longer journeys will find the rearmost seats restrictive.

How does the EV9 Earth's range hold up when towing?

Kia rates towing at up to 2,500kg. Real-world range when towing a fully laden caravan or trailer at motorway speeds is typically 150–180 miles from the 98.8kWh battery. Regular 24-minute rapid-charge stops are needed for long towing journeys.

How does the EV9 Earth compare with the Air RWD on charging?

Both use the same 800V architecture and 233kW DC peak. The 10–80% time is the same 24 minutes for both, despite the Earth's larger 98.8kWh battery. The Earth adds AWD and an extra 28 miles of WLTP range over the Air.

Is the EV9 Earth a sensible company car choice at this price?

It qualifies for the 4% BIK rate in 2026/27. For a higher-rate taxpayer, monthly BIK tax on a £73,495 car at 4% is still well under £250 a month, compared with several hundred pounds for a diesel equivalent at 30–35% BIK.
