The Dual Motor adds a second motor on the front axle for AWD, raises peak power significantly, and unlocks a 1,500kg towing rating. The trade-off is lower WLTP range — 321 miles versus 379 — and a higher list price.
No. Like all Polestar 2 variants, the Dual Motor has no bidirectional capability. There is no V2L, V2H, or V2G function. For V2L output at a comparable price, the Kia EV6 Long Range AWD is worth considering.
Yes. The Dual Motor is rated for 1,500kg braked towing — enough for most touring caravans and smaller boat trailers. The Standard Range and Long Range Single Motor are not rated for towing.
